Sell online
Create an online store built into your website
Catalogue, variants, stock, card payments, delivery or click-and-collect, invoices and order emails: it's all there, in the same editor as your pages. You get paid in your own name, and your customers can always find their orders.
Who it's for
Who this store is for
For anyone who sells products, online or over the counter, and wants a single address to give their customers.
Local shops and boutiques
You run a physical shop and want to sell online too, with collection in store or delivery, from a single catalogue managed on your site.
Makers and artisans
You make things in small batches: size, colour and material variants are built in, with stock tracked piece by piece.
Producers and fine-food shops
You sell food or seasonal products, with bundles, gift boxes and sold-out periods to handle, without any extra tools.
Brands just starting out
You're launching a first collection and want to test online sales without paying for a stack of tools before your first order comes in.
What you get
What the store does for you
A store designed to sell, not to be assembled. Everything below is part of the editor, with nothing to install.
Catalogue, variants and stock
Create your products with their variants, set stock per variant, and let the store show when something is sold out.
Card payments in your name
Card payments run through Stripe, on an account opened in your name: you remain the seller, and payouts land in that account on Stripe's schedule.
Delivery or click-and-collect
Offer delivery, collection from your shop, or both. Set your rates once and they apply to every basket automatically.
Automatic PDF invoices
Every paid order generates its own PDF invoice, carrying your company's legal details. Your customer finds it in their account; you find it with the order.
Order emails and reminders
Confirmation, payment, dispatch: your customers are kept informed at each step, in your store's colours. An abandoned basket gets a reminder you can personalise.
Discount codes, gift cards, reviews
Discount codes, gift cards customers can buy as presents, reviews left by your buyers: the essentials of retail are built in, with nothing extra to install.
How it works
How to open your store
Four steps, in the same editor as the rest of your site, without leaving your dashboard.
- 1
Switch on the store
From your site, turn on the Store module: the basket, product and order-tracking pages are created in your site's colours.
- 2
Add your products
Photos, description, price, variants and stock: fill in each product page, then show your products anywhere on your site with the editor's store blocks.
- 3
Connect your payments
Link your Stripe account to accept card payments, then set up delivery, collection, legal notices and billing details.
- 4
Publish and sell
Your store goes live in one click. Orders land in your dashboard, and your customers follow theirs from their own account.
Real templates to start from
Open a template to see its actual rendering on desktop and mobile, then make it your own in the editor.

Going further
Creating an online store: what to know before you start
Creating an online store means bringing together, in one place, a catalogue, a way to take payment, delivery or collection logistics, and the paperwork that goes with every sale: invoice and confirmation email. Many shop owners start with a simple showcase site and add a shop later. The risk with that path is tool sprawl: one tool for payments, another for invoices, a third for emails, each with its own subscription and settings. With hej, the store is a module of the site itself. You switch it on when the time comes, and it inherits the palette, pages and identity you have already built.
In practice, every product has its own page with photos, price, variants and stock. Card payments run through Stripe, on an account opened in your name: you remain the seller. When an order is paid, a PDF invoice is generated with your company's legal details, the customer receives a confirmation email, and the order appears in your dashboard with its status. Customers have an account where their orders and invoices are always at hand. Discount codes, gift cards, reviews and abandoned-basket reminders round out the set.
Some features are not available yet, and we would rather say so. Subscriptions with recurring payment are in preparation; today, the store sells one-off purchases. Payment is by card through Stripe; other payment methods, including PayPal, are coming soon. The reviews you display are the ones your buyers leave on your store; pulling in your Google reviews is planned but not yet released. Finally, hej is a French platform, designed, built and supported in France: the company is identifiable, support answers in French and English, and human help is available on request to set up your store or migrate your catalogue.
Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions about the online store
01Do I need to know how to code to create an online store with hej?
No. The store is built in the same visual editor as your pages: you move blocks around, fill in product pages and publish. Technical settings, such as connecting Stripe, are handled through guided screens, without a line of code.
02How do my customers pay, and where does the money go?
Your customers pay by card. Payments run through Stripe, on an account opened in your name and linked to your store: the money is paid out to you on Stripe's payout schedule. You remain the seller, with your own legal details on every invoice.
03Can I offer collection from my shop instead of delivery?
Yes. You can offer delivery, collection from your shop, or let the customer choose at checkout. Delivery rates are set once in your store and then apply to every basket automatically.
04Are invoices generated automatically?
Yes. Every paid order produces a PDF invoice carrying your company's legal details. You find it in the order details; your customer finds it in their account. There is nothing to retype into another piece of software.
05Can I sell subscriptions or accept PayPal?
Not yet. Today, the store sells one-off purchases paid by card through Stripe. Subscriptions with recurring payment, new payment methods including PayPal, and the display of your Google reviews are in preparation. We don't give dates: these features will ship when they are ready.
